About Us

Bannerman Baptist Church is an old-fashioned, Bible-believing, Bible-practicing independent Baptist congregation. We are not affiliated with any denomination or organized Baptist group, choosing instead to stand directly on the authority of the Bible. Our beliefs and direction are shaped by the fundamental truths of the Christian faith as revealed in God’s Word, which we seek to believe without compromise and live out with conviction. Though we are a new and growing church, our foundation and convictions are firmly rooted in these timeless biblical truths.

Our Mission

We have two goals at Bannerman Baptist Church, found in Ephesians 3:19, “And to know the love of Christ… that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”

Our number one priority is spreading the Gospel by sharing the love of Christ. This is the Great Commission given to us in Matthew 28:18-20. If one does not know the love of Christ, they will spend all eternity in the lake of fire, Revelation 21:8. It is our privilege to share the Gospel with others.

Secondly, Bannerman Baptist Church will provide a place where Christians may grow in the Lord and strengthen their Biblical convictions. At Bannerman, you will find we enjoy the Christian life to its fullest extent according to the Scriptures, Acts 2:42-47. We have a place for you to serve the Lord and a place for you to call home.

Our Pastor

Pastor Luke and Mrs. Olivia grew up together at Riverland Baptist Church in Dunnellon, Florida. They attended the same high school and were married before Pastor’s junior year of Bible college.

Pastor Luke graduated from Landmark Baptist College with a Bachelor of Arts in Missions. During his time in Bible college, he was on the pastoral staff at Starlight Baptist Church in Winter Springs. In 2023, he moved to Riverland Baptist Church, where he served in several capacities.

In January 2025, Pastor Luke and his family moved by faith to Bradfordville, Florida, to begin the work of Bannerman Baptist Church.
